HERE’S WTF YOU NEED:
 600 g beef mince
 1 tbsp minced garlic cloves
 ½ cup sweet onion, diced
 3 tsp salt
 3 tsp crushed black pepper
 ½ cup BBQ sauce
 1 cup 1-inch cubes butter, ice-cold
 3 tbsp applesauce
 1 tbsp muscovado sugar
 1 cup crushed pineapple
 olive oil
 6 slices, mild cheddar
 6 potato rolls, toasted
½ cup apple cider (or substitute for apple juice)
1 sweet onion, sliced into 6 rings

HERE’S WTF YOU DO:
1

Dump your mince into a big bowl along with the minced garlic and onion, 2 tsp each of salt and crushed black pepper and finally the BBQ sauce. Get in there, mix it up and then refrigerate for 20 minutes.

2

In the meantime, get started on your sauce. In a non-stick saucepan on low flame, melt 1/4 cup of butter and to that add in the apple sauce and mix together. Then, dump in the crushed pineapple, the muscovado sugar and fry this "jam" up for 3-5 minutes and set aside.

3

Now, divide your mince mix into 6 balls. Take each ball, stuff a cube of butter in and flatten into a patty about the size of your palm.

4

Get a pan going on high heat with some oil in. Fry your patties for about 4 minutes each side. DO NOT PRESS THEM DOWN, you will release the juices, we don’t like that. Or people who do that. Just before you take them off the pan, place a slice of cheese over each patty and done. Set aside.

5

While your patties fry, pop your bread into the oven to toast for a few minutes.

6

After your patties are ready, take that same pan over high heat and with all the good burnt stuff, pour in the apple juice and slightly grill/BBQ/burn/fry your onion rings. And done1

7

Go ahead, assemble your burgers. Bun, patty, pineapple jam, onion ring and stuff that into your fuckin face!
